With close to 15,000 businesses in the municipality, many of them home-based operations, broadband access has become a critical issue. To maintain efficiency, productivity and growth, these businesses need fast and reliable internet access.

As Victoria’s largest municipality, the City of Casey needs to be
considered an urgent priority for improved broadband infrastructure.

With close to 15,000 businesses in the municipality, many of them home-based operations, broadband access has become a critical issue. To maintain efficiency, productivity and growth, these businesses need fast and reliable internet access.

With approximately 40,000 primary and secondary students in Casey, families also need and deserve access to broadband to maximise educational outcomes for Casey’s young people.

Since 2007, the City of Casey has maintained a Broadband Internet Registry.

Casey residents and businesses experiencing difficulties in connecting to ADSL, cable or other high speed internet are encouraged to register their details to build a body of evidence which Council can use in support the argument that Casey needs additional broadband infrastructure as soon as possible.

The City of Casey is advocating for improved infrasructure to provide affordable, ubiquitous broadband access for all Casey residents.
