Emissions Management Plan 2018-22

Consultation has concluded

The City of Casey is currently developing the Emissions Management Plan 2018-22 for delivery in June 2018.

This Plan follows the successful delivery of the Emissions Management Plan 2012-17 which resulted in City of Casey exceeding its adopted emissions reduction targets reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 24% between 2010/11 and 2016/17. This was achieved from investment in energy efficiency projects including: City of Casey’s LED Streetlight Changeover, Solar Photovoltaic and Building Improvement Programs. Importantly, these Programs had the additional benefit of reducing operational and maintenance costs and improving amenity for the community.

The Emissions Management Plan 2018-22 sets out a fully cost and staged approach to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption from Council’s operations for the next 4 years. It incorporates ambitious emission reduction targets as well as renewable energy targets to maximise environmental, social and economic outcomes for the City.

The Emissions Management Plan 2018-22 is now closed.

Your feedback will be considered in preparing the final Emissions Management Plan 2018-22.
