Construction of the Casey Community Resource Centre, proposed to be constructed in Webb Street, Narre Warren, will significantly improve the quality, level and range of participation by Casey residents in social, recreational, cultural and civic activities in the City of Casey.

The increasing demand for community services within the City of Casey has left many of the municipality’s’ most vulnerable and disadvantaged residents exposed and unable to access the services and support they need.

Many community agencies operating in the City of Casey are now working out of temporary, inadequate accommodation and are unable to take advantage of additional resources

The City of Casey has identified the establishment of the Casey Community Resource Centre as a key advocacy priority for 2010.

Its construction will allow social support services to remain in Casey by providing a community resource hub to house and facilitate a range of information and support services including: financial counselling services, legal advice, advocacy and civic participation activities.
