Child Safe Policy Consultation

Consultation has concluded

Child safety is everyone’s business

The City of Casey is committed to being a child safe organisation and your feedback is an important part of this journey.

Council’s Draft Child Safe Policy 2.0 outlines our commitment to child safety, our priorities and procedures to protect and empower children and our zero-tolerance approach towards child abuse in everything we do.

To create an empowering child safe culture, we want to hear from and act on the voices in our community.

Council is seeking your feedback on the Draft Child Safe Policy 2.0, to ensure that:

  • the Draft Policy reflects the priorities of our community,
  • that you are confident there is a clear process for reporting allegations of child abuse, and
  • you are confident that the City of Casey is creating and maintaining a child safe culture.

All feedback received from the community will be considered in preparing the final Policy and will inform the implementation of the Victorian Child Safe Standards across our programs and services.

Draft Child Safe Policy

Council has developed the Draft Policy in line with the Victorian Child Safe Standards, to ensure it is a leading, child safe organisation.

The City of Casey is uniquely positioned to be an industry leader that models good practice and processes in keeping children safe from harm or abuse. The Draft Policy provides information and guidance to all levels of our organisation in order to create, demonstrate and maintain a child safe culture.
