Community Engagement Strategy: Have Your Voice Heard

Council adopted the draft Community Engagement Strategy at its meeting on 17 October. Thanks for helping us shape this important strategy for Council.

Thank you to all who participated, the winner of the Family Movie Experience Pass is...Kath Griffin!

Here's an overview of what you told us about participating in surveys, workshops, panels and focus groups:

  • Over 50% of people said that their availability was the biggest barrier to their participation
  • One person said the only thing that would stop them from participating was a zombie apocalypse!
  • Over 50% of people said that they prefer to participate in the evenings
  • One third of you would prefer to participate at a Council office

What made you want to participate? The most popular answers referenced being able to do something to improve your community, getting an incentive and being really interested in the topic.

We’ve updated our Community Engagement Strategy and want to know from you: how would you like to be involved in Council decisions and projects? Are you interested in having a say?

At City of Casey, we want to give you as many opportunities as possible to help us make decisions or plan projects. You can help shape the updated strategy by completing the short survey below by 29 September.

Gotta be in it, to win it!

Each survey entry will go into the draw to win a Village Cinema Family Experience Pass (four movie tix plus goodies).

To enter, you must provide your name and contact details at the end of the survey. The winner will be drawn at random on Monday 2 October and notified using the details provided. Only one entry per person is permitted.
