Planning For Our Future

Over the past year, we've been hitting the streets to find out what you want for the future of Casey.

We asked over 3,600 people what was important to them and what their vision for the future of Casey was through Casey Next in 2016.

Earlier this year, Council's first ever People's Panel was formed to recommend how Council can address its long-term financial challenges.

We even asked you what your budget priorities were and to have a go at allocating a $159 million Council budget.


Using all of this information, we have developed:

At the Special Council Meeting on 9 May 2017, these documents were formally adopted by Council as drafts.

They will now be on exhibition for four weeks (until 9 June, 2017) so that you can provide feedback by making a formal submission below.

    Submissions close at 5.00 pm on Friday 9 June, 2017.

    Written submissions under Sections 125, 129 and 223 of the Act on any proposal contained in the Draft Council Plan, Budget and Strategic Resource Plan must be made  to Council, within 28 days of this notice.

    Submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer via:

    Any person requesting to be heard in support of his or her written submission is entitled to be heard before Council and needs to include a request to be heard in the submission.

Adoption of the draft strategic corporate planning documents will be considered at the Special Council meeting on 28 June 2016 at the Civic Centre, Magid Drive, Narre Warren. Council will give public notice of its decision in accordance with Section 130(2) of the Act.
