Council is currently developing a new four-year Domestic Animal Management Plan. To help develop the Plan, Council would like you to have your say on dog and cat related issues that affect the community.

The Domestic Animal Management Plan provides Council with a strategic approach towards:

  • Promotion of responsible pet ownership

  • Welfare of dogs and cats in the community

  • Protection of the community – and the environment – from nuisance dogs and cats

The Plan will consider community needs, while following the requirements of the Domestic Animals Act 1994 are met.

With more than 27,000 dogs and 7,500 cats registered in the City of Casey, there is a need for Council to seek feedback from both pet owners and non-pet owners on issues that affect them.
